Physiotherapy is defined as treatment to restore, maintain and make the most of a patient's mobility, function and well-being.
Physiotherapy is for EVERYBODY—all ages and all walks of life.
Physiotherapists are experts in the structure of the human body and its movement. Our role is to assist you to recover and thrive. As first- contact practitioners, you don’t need a doctor's referral to be treated by one of our physiotherapists.
Many conditions are treatable with physiotherapy, ranging from sports injuries and degenerative conditions such as arthritis, to more area-specific aches and pains, such as the neck/back, limbs and joints. A lot of the time, you can avoid surgery in favour of a conservative physiotherapy approach, so a consultation with a qualified physiotherapist is an essential step in getting the best possible treatment for your condition.
What you expect from a physiotherapy session:
We encourage our patients to be an active team member.
Ask questions so you understand your diagnosis and needs, and keep us informed of your progress—especially if you have been referred to other specialists.
As musculo-skeletal physiotherapists, we simply want to return you to your normal daily activities as soon as safely possible, with a strong focus on creating and maintaining long term results.
All of our exercises and treatments are evidence- based and are designed to maximise effectiveness and restore normal function.
Stages of Recovery:
Our team will take the time to understand your specific condition and develop a plan tailored to you. We’ll also advise you about what you can do at home to assist your recovery, including exercises, stretching or the use of equipment. If required, we can also refer you to another specialist.
Keep a positive attitude and EXPECT positive results. As we follow through on your treatment plan, look for signs of improvement and take encouragement from them.

getback™ is an individualised exercise & rehabilitation program using 6 Medical Grade Devices (ARTG) from the David Company in Finland.
Our objective at Action Physiotherapy is to improve the health and quality of life of those who live with, often debilitating neck and back pain every day.
The aim of the getback TM program:
Most back disorders can be treated successfully with the getback TM spinal rehab program.
These include:
Pain makes us avoid moving the painful area, resulting in loss of mobility and weakening the spine’s supporting muscles. Without treatment, the de-conditioning cycle continues and episodes of back pain may occur more frequently.
Treatment focused solely on pain relief doesn’t address any underlying weakness in the spine’s supporting muscles. getback™ promotes overall spinal health by targeting and ‘re-conditioning’ the deep spinal muscles that support and stabilise the spine.
